
Prof. Dr. Yong Liu
Yong Liu is a Professor and Ph.D. supervisor at the State Key Laboratory of Medicinal Chemical Biology, Nankai University. He is a recipient of the National Natural Science Foundation’s Excellent Young Scientists Fund and Zhejiang Province’s Distinguished Young Scientists Fund. His research focuses on the design, synthesis, and self-assembly of bioactive molecular materials, particularly for applications in combating bacterial resistance. In recent years, he has published over 90 papers as first or corresponding author in journals such as Chem. Soc. Rev., Adv. Mater., Nat. Commun., Adv. Funct. Mater., ACS Nano, and Adv. Sci., with 22 papers having an impact factor above 15. He has filed more than 30 patents, with 10 granted. His accolades include the Chinese Chemical Society’s Young Polymer Scientist Award, the Zhejiang Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award (Second Prize), recognition as a Jiangsu "Dual-innovation Ph.D.", Wenzhou's "Ouyue Haizhi Project" Talent, and the National Award for Outstanding Self-Financed Students Abroad. He also serves as an Editor for Colloids and Surfaces B: Biointerfaces.
